Jamboree on the Air – Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA-JOTI)
JOTA-JOTI (Jamboree on the Air – Jamboree on the Internet) is the world’s largest digital and radio Scouting event, connecting over 2 million Scouts from more than 174 countries every year.
Core Components:
- JOTA (Jamboree on the Air): Scouts use amateur radio (Ham Radio) to talk with other Scouts globally, learning about wireless technology and electronics.
- JOTI (Jamboree on the Internet): Scouts connect via online platforms, including text chats, voice/video calls, and social media.
The event has been held the third weekend of October since 1957.

Why is there a JOTA-JOTI ?
Jamboree on the Air – Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA-JOTI) is a fun and exciting annual experience for all young people in Scouting using the widest range of technology communication channels to educate, promote cultural awareness, develop tolerance, as well as enhance sharing, collaboration and teamwork, along with building a sense of belonging to the worldwide Scout Movement.
